The Word of God says that “perfect love casts out fear.” But it also can work the other way…fear casts out love. When we are filled with anxiety and fear, we cannot truly love others. We may respond harshly, or be short with others, and ofttimes it is because we’re anxious inside. But God’s love perfected in us casts out fear, and we must allow daily the peace of Christ to rule and reign in our hearts. Real peace is possible for the believer!
The power of the Holy Spirit is still available to believers and the Church today! No matter our past, or our present circumstances, we can know that God always saves the best for last, and the best is yet to come!
We can find so much encouragement from Genesis 26. At times we want to move from a place we’re in. It may be a place of lack, stress, or strife. Isaac too was dwelling in the land of famine, and wanted to move from where he was to Egypt. But he had to choose to obey God, even when things were tough and tight. As he experienced the wells of arguments and opposition, he kept moving on, and digging another well. Sometimes we must do the same! Move on past arguments, opposition and strife, and dig another well, and just as Isaac found, we too will discover God’s place of blessing, spaciousness and fruitfulness in the land.
The Word of God states that “we’re to guard our heart with all diligence, because out of it flow the issues of our lives.” This confirms that true prosperity begins in the heart, and to truly prosper in all respects we must invest in ourselves first! We can do that by getting and keeping negativity, criticalness, fault-finding and bitterness out. No matter where you are, change is possible because of the power of God that lives inside us!
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This is a true statement, a principle, straight from the Word of God.
Both poverty and wealth are powers, and no matter what your present circumstance is, it’s so important to not let them define you. God is using your present circumstances to draw out of you what He has put in you. The talents were not given to each person for the purpose of preservation, but for multiplication, and God requires that we be faithful with that which He’s given us so He can trust us with more. This is the principle that allows the blessing of abundance to flow in our lives.
It is vital that we renew our minds according to God’s Word regarding money. We serve the God of ALL supply! One thing a poverty mentality says is “I don’t have anything to give,” but the Word says that God supplies the seed to the sower, and that everybody has a seed to sow. Isaac sowed a radical seed in a time of famine in the land in obedience to the word of the Lord, and he reaped an abundant, radical harvest! Seed represents your future…it tells you what is to come. Discover the importance of our obedience and trust in order to see the blessing, increase and favor of God in our lives.
The spirit of offense can rise up so quickly in our lives; we feel people did us wrong, we get hurt and feel rejected. Jesus knew all of these feelings, and dealt with them Himself three times in a 24 hour period! But through the Holy Spirit, we have the power to resist the temptation to feel offended, thus allowing bitterness to come into our lives and rob our peace and relationships.
The sacrifice of Jesus’ death on the Cross would be null and void if He did not rise from the dead! This is an exciting message on the life-changing power of the resurrection and how it affects our lives today.
Jesus shed His blood in seven places in His physical body. It is amazing how each of these bought back something for you and I! This teaching from Pastor Larry Huch’s book by the same title will revolutionize the way you have thought about Jesus’ crucifixion. It will give you a fresh, new understanding of the absolute price Jesus paid for us!
